100_2579 It was a beautiful day for a wedding too!

100_2584 The bride’s cake was made by Maryann Zeigler.  The bottom two layers were pound cake with strawberries and the top layer was pound cake with white chocolate chips!  Not only beautiful but delicious!  Buttercream icing with fondant scolling .

100_2586   The groom’s cake expressed Heath’s hobby of golfing!  He even had some of the bridal photographs made with his golf clubs!!  Now that is a hobby!  The groom’s cake was beautiful.  Also made by Maryann. 100_2592 Wonderful buffet provided by Covington’s.  The florals for Ashleigh and Heath’s wedding were provided by Ashleigh’s talented grandmother and some of her friends!  What a labor of love!!  The reception was held under the Alcyone Tent complete with chandelier.

Jessica and Brandon

Alcyone Plantation celebrated our 2nd anniversary with the wedding of Jessica Roberts and Brandon Glow.  Photography was provided by Jonathon and Carrie Chick….www.clarusphotography.com  on a beautiful May 1st!  Below are a few photographs taken on their special day.  More to follow on our featured weddings site.  Brandon and his groomsmen prior to the ceremony.

Kristin and Nate

Kristin and Nate had a beautiful December wedding here at Alcyone. Here are a few images submitted by Gandy Photographers.  We love working with the Gandy’s who make the day fun, stress-free for us all…….PLUS you are left with such beautiful images that will last a lifetime!  But you will have to agree……..with subject material like Kristin and Nate, who could go wrong!  Hope you enjoy browsing!

With December as the wedding month, the colors of red were everywhere!  Do love these red shoes that Kristin chose!  Makes me think back to the weddings of twenty plus years ago…..our shoes HAD to be dyed to match the wedding dress!  Just love these brides of today and their style!

You know wedding dresses today come in so many various styles, colors, materials, and looks!  We hear all the time that the decision to choose “just one” is so hard!  But of all of the dresses we have seen, the back of this dress is to die for!  Kristin and Nate take a stroll down to the lake for a few quiet moments on their special day!

Beautiful day, Beautiful couple, Beautiful life ahead!

Two handsome ushers having some fun with wedding bubbles.  All I Want for Christmas are my two front teeth……wonder if this came true!  Cute either way!
Kristin and Nate had their reception on the front lawn of Alcyone.  Once again, the 200 year-old live oaks have one more great story to tell! 

Tanner’s Lane provided the music for the reception.  Just hard to beat this local band!  Everyone always has such a great time when they are present!  Alcyone wishes this great couple, as well as their families, many years of happiness!
